Not many know I do some clowning and used to have a dress that I wore for clowning, but needless to say I got alittle fluffy of sorts, so I opt to wear overalls instead of the dress, it kinda fits my clown \name...Hillbilly Annie...
my shirt pattern is adapted from my dress pattern that I had, in which was just a skirt with a bib and shirt...a old Ringling brothers costume pattern I got a few years ago..
always have trouble putting the elastic on the sleeves or anywhere, always end up taking it apart and redoing it at least a couple of times
finished sleeve
Finished top with out snaps, because I don't do button holes
now on to the overalls
First off I get a pair of overalls at a garage sale or yard sale whatever you want to call them or even a thrift store...
I washed them when I get them, then try them on and decide where I need to cut the legs at.
I draw a line on one of the legs then cut both legs at the same time...even cut
Then I embellished the overalls a bit..since this one is Christmas themed, Rudolph goes on...yes I put them on by hand and sew each one on by hand...
the monster from Rudolph
Next I decide to paint Merry Christmas on the front and I painted Happy New Year on the back
Now it is finished, yay...hopefully I will get to wear for the Christmas parties at the local school....for winter weather is forecasted this week.
Update on the camo/orange afghan I am working on for camo girl...I decided to take apart and make it somewhat smaller so it would be easier to handle and am now working on that since I want it done by Christmas....I started on it last year after I made the oldest one an afghan....
Enjoy!
